- 6:30 for potluck dinner, and 7pm we will start bagging. This activity is a nice combination of Fellowship and Outreach. We usually meet on the fourth Friday of the month (you can always consult the calendar).
Everyone brings a dish for a potluck meal at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall. For those who want to skip the potluck, rice bagging starts at 7 PM and is usually complete at 8 PM. The rice bagging process is easy and can be learned in minutes. You just scoop out a one-cup serving of rice, dump it into a sandwich bag, and someone tapes the bag closed. We end up bagging 300 lbs. of rice which is then delivered to the Trinity Episcopal Church food pantry. The food is distributed to approximately 400 people each month. This is an enjoyable way for people of all ages to help our community. You will often find children, as young as 2 years old, shoulder to shoulder with the adults assisting whatever way they are capable. You'll find that the rice bagging evenings are a wonderful way to teach all of us that St. Timothy's can make an impact to help those less fortunate.
