Have a good, reflective, & fruitful summer!
What is Benedictine Spirituality?
Benedictine spirituality is a daily attentiveness to God, listening through prayer and the Scriptures. It is being guided by the Rule, and the spiritual tradition that has grown out of it.
Our Benedictine community at St. Timothy’s is composed of people who are intentionally seeking Christ. We look for the holy and sacred in the ordinariness of our daily lives. We discuss, study and explore the Rule of Benedict so we can live in Christ and reflect the Christ in us. We seek to be a spiritual haven, a place of hospitality and stability, and a place of opportunity for strengthening reflection and meditation in the Benedictine tradition.
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.) of each month at St. Timothy’s. Our meetings are comprised of worship, a simple meal, study (of the Rule, of prayer, of Scripture, and of Benedictine tradition), and discussion of our particular study topic.
