Godly Explorers and Adventures
For young people from age 4 through the fifth gradeGodly Explorers
Ages 4-1st grade form a community of faith as they study "The People of God." Classes begin with music as the group sings together as the Cherub Choir. There is a quiet reflection of the week and/or topical issues. Lessons on sacred stories, liturgical topics, parables and saints are presented in a storytelling format. Responses to the lesson take many forms including art and drama. Prayer is both formal and extemporaneous. Service projects are integrated into the curriculum.
Godly Adventures
Grades 2 through 5 will reflect on their thoughts, feelings and hopes while reading and studying the New Adventure Bible. The morning will begin with "the question of the day" featuring faith as part of daily life. The core of this class will be the Gospel story and prayer as the group discusses the lesson and how it applies to their lives as Christians. Enrichments will come from Living the Good News, an Episcopal Lectionary-based program.
