Youth Ministries Outreach
Teaching the concept of Christian OutreachThe Journey to Adulthood curriculum is based on spirituality, society, sexuality and self. One way that these facets come together is through outreach. As class discussions explore other needs, additional outreach opportunities may be pursued. Current plans for Youth Ministries through St. Timothy's include:
Operation Clean Street
We have adopted Mason Road from Olive to the Saint Timothy's driveway and monthly remove all litter. Each month a different class (Rite 13, J2A or YAC's) performs this work.
Christ Church Cathedral's "Miss Carol's Breakfast Program"
We hardboil 36 to 45 dozen eggs each month. The eggs are packaged with fruit and pastries creating a brown bag breakfast. All three Journey to Adulthood classes (Rite 13, J2A or YAC's) help with this ministry.
Pancake Sunday Breakfast
All three Journey to Adulthood classes (Rite 13, J2A and YAC's) help with this annual breakfast held between services on the Sunday morning before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. All proceeds go towards the J2A class' pilgrimage.
Haven House
The YAC's prepare dinner on the fifth Sunday of the month for families at Haven House - a facility that houses families of children who are in town for medical treatment at area hospitals.
