Family worship happens on the first and third Sunday of the month at 9am. The service is a brief 30 minutes and designed for active participation from children and adults. The photos below tell the story of our time together in family worship.
Before the service begins, many adults and children add names to the prayer wall. On one side, we give thanks to God for all of the blessings of this life. On the other side, we ask God to help us help others in need.
The guitar club often provides music for the service.
Children read the Bible story each week.
It's ok to move, wiggle, and a take a look around during the service.
The children gather up in the front of the church to hear a sermon.
Some children bring extra friends to the service.
We read our prayers together.
We ask forgiveness for the things we have done and left undone, and wash with the waters of baptism.
We come together to break bread in Jesus' name.
We play instruments and sing praises.
We go out into the world in peace.
Children participate in all portions of the service including setting up the altar.
We encourage children to explore the sanctuary.
