St. Timothy's Clergy and Staff
The Rev. Meghan C. Ryan, Rector Contact Mother Meghan The Rev. Meghan Ryan is the Rector at St. Timothy's. She attended Murray State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre. She went on to study at Virginia Theological Seminary, receiving her Masters of Divinity. After ordination, she served at churches in the Diocese of Kentucky. After that, she was called as the Rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Clarksville, TN. During her six-year tenure, Trinity grew in number and in spirit, with a renewed focus on outreach and evangelism. After Trinity, Mother Meghan served as Associate Rector of Formation and Pastoral Care at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Mother Meghan served as the board president of a local nonprofit that provides mental health care to veterans and first responders, and also served as the vice president of the ministerial association for several years. She is currently a member of Gathering of Leaders, an organization “committed to connecting young, creative, proven clergy-leaders in the Episcopal church.” In 2022, she was called to St. Timothy’s and warmly welcomed as Rector. She and her husband Michael are raising two daughters and are settling into their new home. |
The Rev. Dayna Jewson, Deacon Contact Deacon Dayna My name is Dayna Jewson and I’m St. Tim's new deacon. Bishop Deon has assigned me to work alongside Meghan, your rector. Some of you might know me, and some of you knew my dear husband, Al, who died last November. I know he supplied here many times and loved it. I was ordained nineteen years ago in the Diocese of West Missouri, where I served parishes in Kansas City and Warrensburg. While in Warrensburg, I initiated a grief ministry known as Bittersweet Place, where I led groups (mainly children) dealing with loss of a loved one. Al and I moved to St. Louis in 2012 to be closer to our children and grandchildren. In the Diocese of Missouri, I’ve served three parishes as well as Deaconess Anne House. In addition to being a deacon, I am a registered nurse, having worked most recently in hospice care. As a deacon, my passion is bringing the Church to the world, whether that means by outreach or pastoral care. I look forward to working alongside you, exchanging ideas, sharing dreams, and serving our Lord together. |
Mark Scholtz Director of Music Contact Mark Mark R. Scholtz is the Director of Music and Organist at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, Creve Coeur, Missouri. A graduate of the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, studying organ with Haskell Thomson, he subsequently studied interpretation of the organ works of Arthur Wills with the composer at Ely Cathedral, England. In June of 2004, Mr. Scholtz began a four year association with the Wicks Organ Company of Highland, Illinois, first as a flue voicer and then as Tonal Director. During those years he was involved in several projects that achieved national attention most notably the organ at The First Congregational Church of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Instruments of his own design of which he is particularly proud, are at Saint Anne’s Anglican Church, Nassau, the Bahamas; and The First Presbyterian Church, Pitman, New Jersey. Since 2015, Mr. Scholtz has been the co-host of the St. Louis-based radio program The King of Instruments, produced under the auspices of the Organ Media Foundation and the St. Louis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. Had it not been for a particularly strong pull to the realm of church music and the pipe organ, Mr. Scholtz would, most likely, have been an architect. In 2014 he began an adventure into the world of homes and architecture as a Realtor. In 2021, he joined the team at Coldwell Banker Realty, and feels a fortunate man for being able to work in three worlds that are each rooted in art and creativity. |
