Ministry of Racial Reconciliation Book Discussion
Monday, June 2, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the Youth Lounge

St. Tim's Ministry on Racial Reconciliation (MORR), has chosen The First Ladies, an historical novel and New York Times Bestseller for our annual all parish read this year.
This timely story, by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, tells about the extraordinary partnership between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights activist Mary McLeod Bethune. MORR introduced you to Dr. Bethune during Black History month. These two strong women came together in the name of justice and equality. The choice of this novel honors both the civil rights movement and the fight for women's place in government. The behind-the-scenes glimpses into FDR's presidency are fascinating. It's a compelling and engaging read.
The book is available in local libraries and bookstores. Please join us for the discussion of The First Ladies on Monday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. in the youth lounge. A light supper will be served.

Sunday Evenings
STYL: St. Timothy's & St. Peter's Youth League
St. Tim's Middle and High School students gather with
the youth from St. Peter's Episcopal Church on Sunday evenings at St. Peter's in Ladue. Clergy from both parishes have created an exciting program that allows these young people to hang out, do service projects, ask questions about the Church, about God, and just learn more about what it means to have faith and be Episcopalian in this growing and changing world! |
